Hi, I’m Joe Brennan
Theoretical Population Biologist
I am currently a PhD Candidate in the Graduate Group of Population Biology at the University of California, Davis, working with Sebastian Schreiber. I did my undergraduate education from 2018-2022 at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC where I obtained a B.A. in Biology and a B.S. in Mathematics. I began at the University of California, Davis in the fall of 2022.
I am broadly interested in using mathematical and computational models to understand phenomena in community, population, and evolutionary ecology. My dissertation assesses various ecological mechanisms that influence coexistence, community assembly, and community disassembly such as species interactions and changing abiotic conditions.
